HemaXis DX, our second generation blood collection device, produces pure plasma or serum without the use of a centrifuge, filtration membrane or pump. DBS System’s patented microfluidic technology passively and efficiently separates plasma or serum from whole blood with no hemolysis and the extracted biofluid can be stored in a dry or liquid format. This new technology promises to vastly expand the testing potential of micro blood samples.
HemaXis DX has reached a new significant milestone in its development path: functional prototypes have been distributed to selected institutions, consisting of pharma or public hospital labs. Data is being collected to evaluate the prototype’s performances and usability. Feedback collected during this testing phase will directly impact future developments, ensuring the final product fulfils user’s expectations.
